Vanilla Panna Cotta with Strawberry Sauce

Ingredients

Vanilla Panna Cotta

  • 1 envelope unflavored gelatin (7g or 2 teaspoons)
  • 1/4 cup cold water
  • 2-1/2 cups heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • Pinch of table salt
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

For the Strawberry Sauce

  • 1 pint fresh strawberries, washed, hulled and sliced
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 tablespoon fresh squeezed lemon juice
  • 3 whole fresh strawberries for garnish
