Bananas Foster is a classic New Orleans dessert that is served tableside at Emeril’s Delmonico. You can’t beat bananas caramelized in brown sugar and rum paired with ice cream.
INGREDIENTS
4 tablespoons unsalted butter
3/4 cup packed light brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Pinch ground nutmeg
4 ripe bananas, peeled and cut lengthwise into halves
1/4 cup banana liqueur
1/2 cup dark rum
1 pint vanilla ice cream
