Warm Cinnamon Raisin Bread Pudding

1. Prepare the Bread:
– Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
– Grease a 9×9-inch baking dish with butter or non-stick spray.
– Place the cubed cinnamon raisin bread in the prepared baking dish. If desired, sprinkle additional raisins over the top.
2. Make the Custard:
– In a medium-sized bowl, whisk together the milk, heavy cream, granulated sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and ground nutmeg until well combined.
– Slowly pour the melted butter into the mixture, whisking constantly to incorporate.
3. Assemble and Bake:
– Pour the custard mixture evenly over the bread cubes, pressing down gently to ensure all the bread is soaked.
– Let the mixture sit for about 10 minutes to allow the bread to absorb the custard.
– Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the custard is set.
4. Serve:
– Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving.
– Dust with powdered sugar before serving, if desired.
