Mozzarella-Stuffed Spaghetti Meatballs

3. Form the meat mixture into 12 meatballs. Make a small indentation in the center of each meatball and insert a piece of mozzarella cheese.
4. Place the meatballs in a baking dish and bake for 20 minutes, or until cooked through.
5. While the meatballs are baking, make the tomato sauce. In a large saucepan, combine the crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, chopped onion, green bell pepper, red bell pepper, oregano, and sugar. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened.
6. Season the sauce with salt and pepper to taste.
7. Remove the meatballs from the oven and place them in the tomato sauce. Simmer for 10 minutes, or until the meatballs are heated through.
8. Serve the meatballs over spaghetti or your favorite pasta.
