Marbled Chocolate Cake with Rich Chocolate Frosting

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch (23×33 cm) baking pan.
2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the buttermilk, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract.
4. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, alternating with the hot coffee. Beat until just combined.
5. Divide the batter in half. In one half, stir in an additional 1/4 cup (30g) of cocoa powder.
6. Pour the batters into the prepared pan, alternating colors to create a marbled effect.
7. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
8. Let the cake cool completely in the pan.
To make the Chocolate Frosting:
1. In a large bowl, beat the softened butter until light and fluffy.
2. Gradually beat in the confectioners’ sugar, cocoa powder, milk, and vanilla extract.
3. Beat until the frosting is smooth and creamy.
4. Frost the cooled cake and enjoy!
