French Onion Chicken Casserole

  1. Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 400°F (200°C). Spray a 9×13-inch baking pan with non-stick cooking spray.
  2. Combine Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked chicken, green beans, shredded cheddar cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, cream of chicken soup, and slivered almonds. Mix well to ensure everything is evenly distributed.
  3. Assemble the Casserole: Spread the chicken mixture evenly in the prepared baking pan.
  4. Bake: Place the pan in the oven and bake for 30 minutes.
  5. Add Topping: After 30 minutes, remove the pan from the oven and sprinkle the French fried onions evenly over the top of the casserole.
  6. Final Bake: Return the pan to the oven and bake for an additional 5-8 minutes, or until the onions are golden brown and crispy.
  7. Serve: Remove the casserole from the oven and let it sit for a few minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld.
