A Lemon Cake to Die For

Preheat the Oven:
Start by heating your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan with butter or cooking spray to prevent sticking.
Mix the Cake Ingredients:
In a large mixing bowl, beat the eggs well. Add the yellow cake mix, instant lemon pudding mix, oil, and water. Stir everything together until the mixture is smooth and free of lumps.
Bake the Cake:
Pour the batter into your prepared pan, smoothing the top with a spatula. Bake in the preheated oven for about 30 to 35 minutes, or until the top is golden and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Prepare the Glaze:
While the cake is baking, prepare the glaze. In a medium bowl, combine the powdered sugar, melted butter, water, and lemon juice. Whisk until smooth and thoroughly combined.
Finish with Glaze:
Once the cake is baked, remove it from the oven. While still warm, use the handle of a wooden spoon to poke holes all over the cake. Pour the glaze evenly over the surface, allowing it to seep into the holes and over the sides of the cake.
Serve and Enjoy:
Allow the cake to cool and the glaze to set slightly before slicing. Serve as is or with a dollop of whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream for an extra special treat.
